NEWTON film • CREATIVE DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTION

NEWTON film produces independent creative documentary films with a social, economical or cultural perspective. NEWTON film ‘s experience, professional approach and involvement with both crew as characters during the whole process of the film is the key essence for success. Our creative documentaries have been selected and awarded on the world ‘s biggest documentary and film festivals.
NEWTON film works with the best professionals from the field and arranges the best team for each individual project. NEWTON film has professional audiovisual equipment, such as (4K) camera, sound, mixer, light equipment and editing suites. We also produce commissioned films for government agencies (such as the European Union, the Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs), broadcasters (such as VPRO, EO, Omroep Brabant, ARTE/ZDF), institutions (such as Fontys, the Liliane Foundation) and companies (such as AMSL, TNT, Pernod Ricard).

NEWTON FILM’S HISTORY

NEWTON film was founded in 2004 by Ton van Zantvoort (Heesch, 1979). He graduated with credits in 2003 at the Art Academy AKV St. Joost in Breda. In 2006, his debut film GRITO de PIEDRA premiered at IDFA and his second feature a BLOOMING BUSINESS in 2009 screened on major film festivals and was broadcasted worldwide. His film SHEEP HERO got selected on more than 75 (renowned) international film festivals, won 15 awards and 35 nominations. It was also theatrically released in several European countries and broadcasted worldwide.

Since 2009 he started to produce documentaries for other (young) directors such as DAY is DONE* by Guido Hendrikx that premiered at IDFA, FALLING by Jef Monté and HONDS by Josefien van Kooten are Teledoc Campus productions that premiered at the Dutch Film Festival and Luuk Bouwman’s Dick Verdult – It Is True But Not Here premiered on Bafici in Buenos Aires.
